In week 5 not a lot of stuff was moving compared to the last couple of weeks. Everything im assuming just died. There was nothing really moving at all by the soil layer. I did see Nauplius Cyclops, Coleochaete and Asterococcus that had died it was been eaten by some gastric that looked similar ti a bunch of ants. I also did see some cool little things that looked like worms. This project was a very neat project it let me see how the smaller creatures on earth move around that people really do never notice.

Week 4 Nov 4

Cyclops From:Grinis, Kenneth, and Bruce J Russell. Guide to Microlife. 1996. 204. Print.

During Week 4 of the microaquarium I took a picture of the cyclops which was very interesting to me to watch how he move around from the soil to to the open area. I also took a video of Rotifer on moss which was very neat to me every week i learn more and more about this interesting creatures. It is very odd to me how this organisms live in the small area and are able to stay alive. I can not wait tell next week to go in and check out what my cyclops friend is doing this week.

week 3

As I was looking at my microaquarium during week 3. I noticed that the fern had grown and it also appeared that the fern had little hairs gr owning on the side of it. I also observed that my little buddy amoeba had grown since last week. It seemed this week that all the activity is around the fern or near the soil layer. I also noticed that there seem to be something that look like grass growing from the soil layer. Another thing I would like to find out is there seemed to be something that looked like a nest growing on the fern hopefully in week 4 i will find out more about this.
